COVID-19 Updates for our Daily Schedule:
- Lorikeet Feeding – spectating only. No handling of the feed dishes
- Free Flight Raptor shows - limited capacity to ensure the Queensland Government social distancing requirements are met. During construction of a new undercover seating area, this show will be held at our Sheepdog Show area.
- Sheep Dog Show - limited capacity to ensure the Queensland Government social distancing requirements are met.

Animal Photo Opportunities

Koala hold/photos:
Experience includes holding a koala plus a printed professional photo. Only one person in the group may hold the koala. $25/per family of up to four people. To see our koala holding terms and conditions, please click HERE.
There is a minimum height requirement of 120cm to hold a koala. For guests who meet the height requirement, it still remains up to the Wildlife Officers’ discretion as to whether a guest is able to hold a koala unassisted, to ensure the safety of our guests, handlers and koalas. If a guest is unable to hold a koala, a Touch a Koala experience can be arranged.
Dingo / Snake / Touch a Koala:
Meet a dingo, snake or koala, feel their fur or scales, and take photos on your own devices. $15/per family of up to four people.
Photo opportunities are not available for pre-booking. All photo opportunities can be purchased from our Main Koala Exhibit on the day of your visit. To find our Main Koala Exhibit, see our sanctuary map.
Interactive Shows & Activities
Interact with Wildlife
Our daily shows and activities are an excellent way to learn about your favourite animals and enjoy unique photographic opportunities.
Hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies:
Our kangaroo reserve is home to 150 free-ranging kangaroos and wallabies, as well as three friendly emus. Guests can feed, touch and take photos with our kangaroos and wallabies daily 9:00am to 4:30pm. Roo food is available at our Ticket Entrance. Donations are welcome.
Sheep Dog Show:
Enjoy an insight into Australia’s sheep farming history and farm dog training, as our skilled sheep dog handlers and their canine companions herd sheep through various obstacles.
Free Flight Raptor Show:
Featuring birds such as eagles, owls, kites and falcons, this show is a great demonstration of the amazing flight and hunting abilities of our Australian raptors.
